The four studies in this volume all address the problem of how a good life relates to a morally good life. Each examines this relationship from a different perspective; each leads to the conclusion that the connection between the good and the morally good should not be understood as an ultimate identity or as a conceptual priority of either component. Together, they form the outline of a practical philosophy that understands the concepts of individual good and moral right as interdependent fundamental concepts.
