Author Information Tremper Longman III (PhD, Yale University) is the Robert H. Gundry Professor of Biblical Studies and the Chair of the Department of Religious Studies at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, where he lives with his wife, Alice. He is the Old Testament editor of the revised Expositor's Bible Commentary and the general editor of the Story of God Bible Commentary Old Testament, and has written numerous articles and books on the Psalms and other books of the Old Testament. The late Raymond B. Dillard (PhD, Dropsie University) was a professor of Old Testament language and literature at Westminster Theological Seminary.
