Andorra is the name for a model: it illustrates the process of a change in consciousness, dealt with through the character of the young Andri, who is forced by his environment to be different until he accepts it as his destiny. This destiny is referred to as "being Jewish" in Max Frisch's play. The play was first published as a book in 1961.
