Product details
Andrej Barov, born on October 6, 1958, in Leningrad, is a German photographic artist. Central to his work is the engagement with the latest findings in brain research. Barov is considered the founder of Brain Art. He studied theater studies and art history at the Leningrad Academy of Theater, Film, and Music. During his subsequent 10-year engagement at the Lenfilm film studio, the artist traveled across Russia and filmed in various locations, creating films of all kinds. This period provided extensive insights into the regionally diverse Russian culture and the everyday life of the USSR. In the late 1980s, Andrej Barov began to focus intensively on photography as an art form.
