Andrej Mangold (January 14, 1987) is a German basketball player. In the 2011/12 season, he played for the Telekom Baskets Bonn in the top German league, the Basketball Bundesliga. Mangold learned to play basketball at the former first division club TK Hannover and was already used as a youth player in the third-tier Regionalliga, into which the men's team had since fallen. In 2005, he transferred to Oldenburger TB, the sponsoring club of the first division team EWE Baskets Oldenburg, whose non-professional team also played in the Regionalliga. Through strong performances, he earned a spot on the München Basket team, which played in the newly established Pro B. After a strong season in Pro B with München Basket, he was called up to the A2 national team and was signed by local rival Bayern Munich, who had skipped Pro B after winning the Regionalliga championship and moved directly into the higher league.
