Product details

Andrew Lewis Prine (February 14, 1936, in Jennings, Florida) is an American actor. After graduating from high school in 1954, Prine initially attended the University of Miami but left early to move to New York City to pursue a career as an actor, where he made his theater debut in 1956. The following year, he made his Broadway debut in Ketty Frings' Pulitzer Prize-winning drama "Look Homeward, Angel." From the late 1950s, he also worked in television, initially appearing in guest roles on series such as "Peter Gunn" and "Alfred Hitchcock Presents." In 1962, he received a larger supporting role in the award-winning film drama "Light in the Piazza," which was based on the autobiographical novel by the deaf-blind writer Helen Keller. That same year, he landed one of the two lead roles in a Western.
