Andy Kuntz (November 20, 1962, in Kaiserslautern) is the lead singer of the band Vanden Plas. Additionally, Andy Kuntz works as a singer at the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern, where his musicals Abydos and Ludus Danielis premiered. The musical direction and implementation of the compositions were handled by Günther Werno and Stephan Lill; the artistic director Johannes Reitmeier was also involved. Abydos incorporates elements of Egyptian mythology, while Ludus Danielis is based on medieval adaptations of the biblical story of Belshazzar. In 2008, the rock opera Christ0 (based on the novel The Count of Monte Cristo) premiered at the Munich State Theater am Gärtnerplatz, in which Kuntz participated as composer, librettist, and singer. "Christ0" had its premiere on January 24, 2010, at the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern.
