Andrew Andy Taylor (February 16, 1961, in Cullercoats, Tyne and Wear, England) is an English guitarist. He was a member of the bands Duran Duran and Power Station. Andy Taylor grew up in his hometown of Cullercoats in the northeast of England and began playing guitar at the age of eleven. In 1980, he joined the band Duran Duran, which was formed in 1978, and remained with them until 1986. Together with other members of Duran Duran and Robert Palmer, he founded the band Power Station in 1985. In 1990, he produced the successful debut album Backstreet Symphony with the band Thunder.
