Angelika Beer, born on May 24, 1957, in Kiel, is a German politician. She served as the federal chairperson of Alliance 90/The Greens from 2002 to 2004. After completing her secondary education, Angelika Beer trained as a medical assistant and subsequently as a legal and notary assistant. From 1992 to 1994, she was the coordinator of the international campaign to ban landmines at medico international. Angelika Beer has been married to Lieutenant Colonel Peter Matthiesen of the Bundeswehr since 2003. Her father, Herbert Beer, was a member of the state parliament in Schleswig-Holstein for GB/BHE.
