Empirical developmental psychological findings are applied in this volume to families, daycare centers, and elementary schools. The starting points are the biopsychosocial developmental model, the concept of protective and risk factors, as well as empirical insights into development-promoting environmental conditions. Various programs are presented, and their relevance to professional practice in educational everyday life is examined. The areas of developmental psychology, educational psychology, clinical child psychology, and health sciences are taken into account.
