Anita Ingegerd Gradin (August 12, 1933, in Hörnefors, Municipality of Umeå) is a Swedish Social Democratic politician. Gradin holds a degree in social economics and also studied public administration. She worked as a journalist starting in 1950. From 1967 to 1968, she served as Director of the Government Office in the Prime Minister's Office. From 1992 to 1994, she was Sweden's Ambassador to Austria and Slovenia. She was Minister of Labour from 1982 to 1986, with special responsibility for immigrant and gender equality issues, and then served as Minister for Foreign Affairs from 1986 to 1991, with particular responsibility for foreign trade matters.
