Anja Wagner-Scheid, born on October 9, 1974, in Dudweiler, is a German politician from the CDU. She joined the CDU in 1994 and has been a member of the Young Union since 1999, serving as the deputy district chairwoman (Saarbrücken-Land) from 2001 to 2004. Since 2003, she has been a member and, since spring 2008, the deputy district chairwoman of the CDU district association Saarbrücken-Land. In the Women's Union, she has been the press officer for her district since 2003, the deputy district chairwoman of the Women's Union Saarbrücken-Land since 2006, and was also elected to the state board of the Women's Union Saar in 2008. Since 2010, she has also been a member of the CDU state board.
