Anna Lee Tingle Fisher (August 24, 1949, in New York City, New York, USA) is a NASA astronaut. The Bavarian city of Hof (Saale), from where Fisher's mother originally came, awarded Fisher the Golden Honorary Ring of the city on March 12, 1985. From 1989 to 1996, Fisher took a break from NASA. After her return, she worked in the field of the International Space Station (ISS) and eventually became the head of the space station department in 1999. She is currently back in the shuttle department. Along with Shannon Lucid, Fisher is the longest-serving active astronaut at NASA.
