Anneli Marian Drecker (February 12, 1969) from Tromsø is a German-Norwegian singer and a member of the Norwegian band Bel Canto, as well as an actress. At the age of 16, she founded the band Bel Canto with her friends Geir Jenssen and Nils Johansen, which has released six albums to date. In 2000, she released her first solo album "Tundra." The second album "Frolic" was released in 2005 and has only been published in Norway so far. Since 1989, she has collaborated with various artists such as Tsunematsu Matsui, Hector Zazou, Simon Raymonde, Jah Wobble, Ketil Bjørnstad, Röyksopp, and a-ha. Drecker lives with Jon Marius Aareskjold, and the unmarried couple has three children together. Anneli Drecker is the daughter of Peter Drecker, who hails from Bielefeld and emigrated to Norway in 1960, and therefore also holds German citizenship.
