Abstract: Companies must face the challenge of constantly changing technologies, markets, and human needs in today's economic situation. However, the performance and competitiveness of a company can be enhanced by involving employees and leveraging their knowledge. With each implemented improvement proposal, a deficiency is reduced, a potential is better utilized, and the company's market position is improved. Yet, only through a continuous flow of new ideas and the resulting innovations does a process of improvement emerge.
