Product details
Two children from a village in the late Middle Ages are forced to flee due to a false accusation and an unjust trial. With a traveling group, they find their way into foreign lands and experience medieval city life. When the plague strikes the city, they escape the danger with a merchant who tragically dies in a terrible accident in the Alps. The children are rescued by monks and spend over a year in the pious community, where they learn Latin. Since they do not wish to become monks permanently, they join a group of merchants heading to Egypt to purchase gemstones. An adventurous sea voyage across the Mediterranean begins, and after months, they finally arrive in Alexandria. They then have breathtaking experiences on their journey to Cairo, the pyramids, and Obe.
