In social science research on antisemitism, both nationally and internationally, there is a lament over the lack of a study that connects theoretical and empirical findings. Theoretical works often use empirical studies only selectively to support their hypotheses. Empirical studies, on the other hand, usually completely disregard theoretical insights. Samuel Salzborn now provides an empirically grounded theory about the individual and collective causes of antisemitism, its argumentative structures, and the social contextual and developmental conditions. He examines political science, sociology, and psychology studies on antisemitism and tests them against empirical analyses. In doing so, he fills a significant gap in social science research on antisemitism.
