Product details
IT projects are subject to constantly increasing qualitative and quantitative demands as well as fluctuating influencing factors. The resulting risks often lead to the failure to achieve project goals, and in some cases, project termination. In particular, changes in project goals or content, which are triggered by interactions among project participants and their reactions to altered environmental conditions, receive little attention within the framework of institutionalized IT risk management. The author develops a method in this work, using the System Dynamics approach, to take into account these interrelations, referred to as project dynamics, that can be observed prior to the occurrence of risks.
