Labor and employment relationships are undergoing a profound transformation. This change is not coincidentally intertwined with trends of transformation and persistence in gender relations. These societal movements challenge labor and gender research on two fronts: in their theories, perspectives, and diagnoses, as well as in their relationship to one another. With a focus on employment relationships in the global economy, the development of service work, the flexibilization of societal and individual labor and gender arrangements, and the future of the labor society, prominent representatives of labor and gender research engage in dialogue.
