Work-related anxieties often lead to long-term incapacity for work and early retirement, resulting in high costs. Diagnosis and therapy are challenging and require specialized knowledge. This work provides an overview of the topic, incorporating occupational psychology and medicine, clinical psychology, psychiatry, and psychosomatics. The diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, as well as the specifics of social medical assessment, are described in detail.
