Product details

The title of this book is simultaneously the hypothesis of the investigations. Based on architectural projects from the 1960s, the author analyzes the emergence of new forms and orders of architecture that reflect the currently dominant cultural practice of immaterial labor in Western industrialized nations. From the invention of the office landscape in the early 1960s in Germany to the experimental architectural performance "Mobile Office" by Austrian architect Hans Hollein, and the Bed-In performance by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, spaces of a boundless form of work are presented.
