The diverse 800-year history of the city of Berlin is reflected in its multifaceted architectural landscape. Styles from various epochs can be found throughout the city. Art historian Dr. Arnt Cobbers presents the 100 most important buildings of the German capital in his book. Organized by their period of origin, the structures are described from their beginnings to the present day in terms of epoch, style, architect, and cultural-historical context.
