In traditional shamanism, alongside healing rituals, herbs, and animal medicines, specific songs and chants are often used for healing purposes. These medicine songs acoustically open the gateway to the world of spirits. They weave a new energetic garment, through which the healing powers are transferred into the body and thus into everyday life. Each shaman has their own medicine songs in addition to the traditional ones. Sonia Emilia had the vision to connect those traditional healing songs with her personal ones. She hails from Vorarlberg, Austria, and at the age of 17, she embarked on a traditional path of shamanic training with her teacher Juan Moreno from Colombia. Further training in Peru and with the Lakota in North America followed. Sonia Emilia's profound knowledge and her empathetic nature make her one of the most well-known figures in this field.
