Abstract: Ulrike Meinhof - a life in contradiction. This is one way to describe the life of Ulrike Meinhof. Initially a pacifist, protesting journalist, she later became a violent terrorist and ultimately committed suicide. In my paper, I would like to address the question: How did Ulrike Meinhof transform from a journalist into a terrorist? What drove her into the spiral of violence? Was it merely coincidence that she went underground? In my investigation, I will first provide a brief biographical overview of Ulrike Meinhof's life.
