This spring, the Glarnerland experienced quite a rumble, once again making it clear: In the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Sardona Tectonic Arena, the world is far from standing still. Nowhere else in Europe can mountain formation be experienced so impressively, just a short drive from Zurich, in the triangle of Glarus, Graubünden, and St. Gallen. The new richly illustrated non-fiction book on geology and tectonics now reveals what is happening where and how.
