The book is aimed at professionals in helping professions, those affected, and individuals interested in psychology. In this book, which follows up on the 2016 publication "Yes to Myself," the author further elaborates on the psychology of self-affirmation. He describes the manifestations and trauma-psychological backgrounds of negativity. He understands the principle of negativity as a protective reaction, where the self is encapsulated in the face of a denying environment. When negativity becomes chronic in a downward spiral, we find ourselves in a constricted space that can be referred to as a trauma tunnel. Dennis Danner describes factors that can facilitate the dissolution of this traumatic constriction and enable a transformation of negativity. From these factors, affirmative methods are derived that promote the transformation of negativity and release the potential contained within it.
