This book is about having eyes that see. It discusses how our eyes can be healed from religious and culturally conditioned prejudices so that we can see Jesus in others, especially in those who do not hold much value in our world and are quickly discarded. The author has gathered historical and contemporary voices and testimonies to develop a theology of encounter. In particular, he challenges us to see Christ in those who stand on the margins of society and to welcome them to God's banquet table.
