Firefighting operations in buildings are among the riskiest tasks for fire departments, despite all safety precautions. To meet the special demands of high-risk situations during firefighting operations, more and more fire departments are installing personnel-enhanced and specially equipped safety teams as respiratory protection emergency units (ANS).
