Teresa returns to her hometown after many years. Here, she works as a caregiver for the elderly. In the home, she encounters a sinister old man, Josef Bruckner. He bullies Teresa, and she cannot explain his aggression. Eventually, she discovers an old photo of him at home and tries to uncover the mystery. The old man in the home holds knowledge of a terrible event in Teresa's past. Long-buried events come back to haunt her...
