The failed coup attempt has left its mark on the Earth. The military and civilian population are still processing the shock and deep wounds left by the fighting. However, the war against the Ruul cannot be postponed. To prevent the enemies of humanity from taking advantage of the current situation, the Terran military launches a major offensive against the occupied Rainbow system – inadvertently stirring up a hornet's nest of unprecedented proportions. At the same time, a team from the ROCKETS special unit is dispatched to capture the still-at-large war criminal and leader of the coup. However, this operation does not go as planned either. The ROCKETS encounter a secret along the way that could ultimately tip the scales of the war in favor of the Ruul. The final phase of the war is underway, but who will ultimately gain the upper hand remains uncertain.
