Atlas der Schweizer Kinderliteratur
German, 2018Product details
The Atlas of Swiss Children's Literature examines developments in Swiss children's and youth literature over the past twenty years. Through twenty illustrated maps by Swiss picture book illustrators and just as many text adventures, it encourages a playful exploration of Swiss children's literature. The starting point for this somewhat different measurement of a literary landscape is a comprehensive corpus of well-known and lesser-known, unusual and innovative Swiss children's books from the last two decades, as well as some classics. Thematic contributions are presented alongside those that follow the soundscape of language; individual genres are highlighted just as much as the production conditions for the actors in Swiss children's and youth literature. The result is a series of texts that provide close-ups.
