To motivate students to write texts, picture stories are a proven method. However, the encounter with these in independent work is different from teacher-led instruction: it usually takes place in silent work; the student is generally left to their own devices. Therefore, this teaching aid not only offers appealingly illustrated stories from children's experiences but also all the necessary support for independent learning. In addition to text prompts in various forms, a questionnaire for critical engagement with the text, an answer sheet for self-checking, and key phrases, each unit also includes a worksheet with language exercises. This way, students effectively expand their vocabulary and apply their acquired language knowledge. Challenging nutcracker tasks encourage them to write on their own.
