Berlin, 1925: When Vicky is abandoned by her husband, she has no intention of looking for a new partner or provider. After all, this is the city of sin. At night, she immerses herself in the glamorous world of dance halls and variety shows, while during the day, she opens a bookstore with a friend: exclusively for women. Soon, they become icons of the emerging emancipation movement and targets of conservative backlash. And then, suddenly, a man appears before Vicky, causing her to abandon all her resolutions.
