Product details
The Poet Under the Chessboard. An elephant living on the roof of a department store because he no longer fits in the elevator. And a boy who decides not to grow anymore but instead to be taught the art of chess by an old man. In a discarded bus, a young boy is initiated into the secrets of chess by an old man. He is exceptionally talented and plays best when sitting under the chess table—without looking his opponent in the eye. Only then can he keep his thoughts with the elephant he is friends with. However, this prevents him from joining the local chess club. He is only allowed to operate a chess machine alone. Inside the machine, squeezed between levers and buttons, the boy perfects his art. But then a fateful incident occurs.
