Product details
Not only for individuals, the Lent season serves as an encouragement for inner and outer renewal; groups and entire communities can also embark on a common path of repentance. The focus of "Celebrating Lent Differently" is on venturing into new territories – this is invited through seven creative liturgical designs, including a Lent calendar created by, for, and with young people, a service of the Word for the aging population, an invitation to discover new places during Lent, and a model for liturgical design centered around cooking and eating.
A team with practical experience led by Prof. Dr. Klaus Vellguth presents successful models for exciting new paths in community and worship in the series "Celebrating Differently!" The suggestions for services and celebrations invite the exploration and experimentation of new forms and ideas in proclamation and liturgy while remaining true to what is truly tried and tested and to good traditions, yet daring to look beyond the usual boundaries. Especially in today's time, proclamation must not stop at the church door.
The liturgical designs presented in the workbook series "Celebrating Differently!" can be celebrated with or without a priest. The preparation and execution of the celebrations are described in detail. However, all designs can of course be modified, supplemented, adapted, or processed in other forms.
At the beginning of each volume, some spiritual impulses provide a thematic introduction to the respective topic. They can be used for preparation, for example, to thematically align a preparation team at the beginning of a meeting. At the same time, they also serve as potential building blocks for the creative adaptation of the worship models.
