Product details
The Swiss explorer and botanist Hans Schinz presents in this volume the results of his research expedition to present-day Namibia, which took place from 1884 to 1887 on behalf of the German merchant Adolf Lüderitz, with the aim of exploring the territories he had acquired. Schinz also extended his journey to areas located northeast of German South West Africa. In addition to botanical and zoological aspects, Schinz includes descriptions of anthropological, ethnographic, and historical accounts of the land and its people in southwestern Africa. Illustrated with numerous images. Carefully edited reprint of the original edition from 1891.
