Product details

The Aktivhaus B10 is located in the heart of the famous Stuttgart Weissenhof Estate. It is a research project that investigates how innovative materials, constructions, and technologies can sustainably improve our built environment. Thanks to a sophisticated energy concept and a self-learning building control system, the building generates twice its energy needs. The surplus energy is used to power two electric cars and a neighboring building designed by architect Le Corbusier, which has been home to the Weissenhof Museum since 2006. Prof. Werner Sobek is the founder of a globally active network of planning offices specializing in architecture, structural engineering, facade design, sustainability consulting, and design. Through award-winning experimental buildings such as R128, H16, F87, and now B10, he explores how new materials, structures, and technologies can radically change our built environment.
