Product details
The Saga of Grimr takes place in Iceland in the year 1783. Life on the island is marked by extreme poverty and hunger. After a volcanic eruption, the boy Grimr loses his family and his home. In a society where lineage significantly determines a person's worth, this is almost tantamount to a death sentence. Additionally, there is the hostile and relentless nature. The young orphan refuses to live his life as a beggar and decides to create his own legend and inscribe his name into the sagas of the land. Alongside Grimr's tragic story, it is particularly the light and the magnificent landscape of Iceland that create a narrative layer of their own and contribute to the appeal of this graphic novel.
