Product details

Axial and radial compressors are used for compressing gases of all kinds. The compressor is installed in a pipeline that connects the starting point with the destination, and its task is to increase the pressure of the gas. This pressure increase serves, on one hand, to generate the useful pressure of the gas in the consumption area, and on the other hand, to overcome the friction in the supply and discharge lines. Therefore, the purpose of a compressor is to transport gaseous substances from a low-pressure area to a high-pressure area. However, this is also the function of centrifugal pumps, which are used for transporting liquids, which is why the theoretical foundations for both states of matter are the same. The fundamental distinguishing features between compressors and pumps are based on the difference in the specific weights of the respective transported substances, gas or liquid.
