This results in a higher demand for healthcare services, which leads to increased health expenditures. The simultaneous decline in income levels is a consequence of a rising share of non-working individuals and a decrease in the employed population. Telemedicine is expected to play a key role in overcoming demographic change and reforming the healthcare system. To adequately address the topic of "Costs and Benefits of Telemedicine for Chronic Diseases," the first step will be to define the terminology related to telemedicine.
