Reading is boring! Annika is desperate. She never gets a star sticker for good reading. "Don't give up," says the teacher. But that just makes Annika angry. "Reading is boring," Annika reminds the librarian, just in case she might have forgotten. "Maybe you just haven't had particularly good listeners so far," she says and introduces the girl to a big, beautiful dog. Annika wants to give it a try. And Bonnie proves to be the perfect listener: patient and non-judgmental. That's how reading becomes fun! It doesn't work out right away with the sticker. But Annika has patience - just like Bonnie.
