I want - we all have thought, spoken, and written these two words. Not many have been able to turn this desire into reality. Wolfram Schubert, born 93 years ago in a village in Fläming, wanted to learn, enjoyed rural life, and survived war and captivity with his quiet strength. From the very first moment, he wanted Inge and has lived with her ever since. I want to draw and paint, to capture shapes and colors in landscapes and with people. From 1950, he studied in Berlin Weissensee and then participated as a freelance artist in all significant exhibitions in the GDR. He had solo exhibitions in Mali and Guinea, traveled through Europe and Central Asia. For over 20 years, Neubrandenburg was his professional and personal center of life. As a lecturer at the Berlin University of the Arts, he wanted to share his joy of creation and achieved many successes with works like "Bread for All" in the Palace of the Republic, the Art Prize of the GDR, and as chairman of the Neubrandenburg district association of VBK-DDR.
