When the scent of fresh cake fills the air, it whets the appetite and makes one look forward to a good cup of tea or coffee along with delicious homemade cake. The coffee hour becomes a pure experience for the whole family, friends, or guests. In this baking book, we, the country women of the Reutlingen Country Women's Association, share our favorite recipes to inspire your passion for baking and share the joy. Using fresh, seasonal berries and fruits, we prepare simple cakes as well as true specialties. The many cake recipes, along with fine bread recipes, are suitable for both beginners and advanced bakers. Maria Knoll, one of the district chairwomen of the Country Women's Association and a dedicated country woman for 25 years, has put this book together with great commitment and personal effort.
