Product details
Constant changes in the business environment of credit institutions, such as intensified competition, new providers, and altered legal frameworks, mean that credit institutions must meet increasingly higher demands. To address these changes, a successful strategy is required. However, the development, implementation, and control of strategies in the banking sector have been neglected so far, as many German banks have been able to operate successfully even without strategic concepts. In recent years, the Balanced Scorecard model has initiated a process of rethinking. This thesis first presents the structural transformation in the German credit industry with its numerous facets and then explains the concept of the Balanced Scorecard in detail. The basic concept and the individual perspectives are addressed in this context.
