Uncle Flores is a tailor by profession, and there is no one better in the small town by the banks of the São Francisco River. His nephew Edinho spends a lot of time with him in the workshop. While cutting and sewing, Uncle Flores enjoys reminiscing about the past - about the time when Pinbauê was still a village, when fishermen returned home with full nets at the end of the day, and women washed laundry in the clear water. Back then, Uncle Flores sewed colorful carnival costumes and beautiful Sunday dresses; today, he makes gray work uniforms. Almost all the residents now work in the large factory, and Pinbauê has turned gray. When the factory owner decides to order the work uniforms from abroad, Uncle Flores loses his orders. But then Edinho comes up with a brilliant idea that helps Uncle Flores get back to work. Soon, people are lining up at Uncle Flores's shop. And that's not the only change.
