Hans Löffler was born in 1946 in Spandau and lives in Berlin. In the 1960s, he worked as a gardener in Potsdam-Bornim, completed a degree in landscape architecture, and eventually studied at the Berlin-Weissensee School of Art from 1974 to 1979. From 1982 to 1985, he was a master student under the sculptor Prof. Wieland Förster at the Academy of Arts. Since then, Hans Löffler has been working as a freelance author. On the recommendation of Günter Kunert, he was able to publish with the renowned Aufbau Verlag.
