Product details
In 1938, Paul Frölich (1884-1953), co-founder of the KPD and the first editor of Rosa Luxemburg's works, wrote an account of his political life in the German labor movement. The text was deposited at the Amsterdam Institute for Social History and kept secret to avoid endangering contemporaries living in Nazi Germany. Frölich worked in the SPD, in the Bremen Left, in the Munich Soviet Republic, and from 1919 to 1924 on the board of the KPD. His memories provide a vivid picture of the struggles and possibilities of that tremendous period of upheaval.
