In a quiet village at the Baltic Sea a young woman is murdered in a cruel way. The villagers suspect Flora, who is said to have been partly responsible for the death of a neighbour's boy as a teenager and who has now returned to her parents' house. The Lübeck Homicide Department is investigating. Inspector Pia Korittki, who is currently planning her wedding, also sees a connection between the two events and is reopening the case of her earlier death.
