Technical standardization in the Federal Republic of Germany is a task of self-administration by the interested parties, including the state. The DIN German Institute for Standardization e.V. has been the round table since its founding more than 75 years ago, where manufacturers, trade, consumers, crafts, service companies, science, technical supervision, employers, trade unions, and all those interested in standardization come together to determine the state of the art and to document it in DIN standards, taking into account new findings from science and practice.
