Mathematics is occasionally claimed by mathematicians to be the art of avoiding calculations. In the non-fiction book "How to Slip into a Soap Bubble," there is indeed little calculation involved. Yet, the entire book is about mathematics! However, it encompasses so much more. Alfred Beutelspacher wonderfully demonstrates this. The professor once again proves his talent as a seducer of mathematics. In the sense of experimentation, proof, or examination, he opens a new door for both young people and adults to the world of numerical science.
